Take Me Out to the Ballgame!

Last night was our baseball theme night! We had some really great hot dogs, baked beans, french fries, and lemonade/milk/water. YUM!!! Plus, Skinny Cow ice cream sandwiches for dessert! Double YUM!!!

Russ had us play a simple game of baseball using napkins, poker chips, and dice. The Series winners were the adults at the staff table who I think were using loaded dice because they kept rolling home runs but am I bitter about it?

The middle schoolers had a ball trying to bounce ping pong balls off the wall and into a styrofoam bowl tied to our heads. Some of us really got the hang of it while some of the rest of us laughed too hard to be of any use at all. Video below.

The middle schoolers will be participating in worship in two weeks and the high schoolers will be presenting the Scripture passage on the 26th in a very unique way. I hope everyone will be able to attend worship both days!

We are having a blast at LOGOS this year!!!

Russ manages to catch the ball! He actually got several catches as did Cole and Jan. Sue, Ashley, and I all laughed too much to be of any use. Jared persevered and finally got one toward the end! Who knew a ping pong ball and styrofoam bowl could be so much fun?!?

We were using the same dice as you, honest! I can't help but think that some of my Presbyterian ancestors are spinning in their graves at the thought of poker chips and dice in the church, so far be it from me to incite them further by cheating!
:-)

The middle school game looks like a ball (um, no pun intended).
